Our President, Leigh Bell, presented a poster “Exploratory Study of Women’s Experiences with Cardiomyopathy: Findings from IPEC 2” at the 74th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand 6-9 August.

The poster focussed on Australian patient data from Global Heart Hub’s IPEC2 patient-led qualitative research project on women’s experiences with cardiovascular disease. The findings highlighted that women with cardiomyopathy reported significant gaps in sex-specific care and unmet educational, rehabilitation and psychosocial needs, calling for coordinated, multidisciplinary and person-centred care.
